The Trumann Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 6 full-time firefighters and 14 volunteer firefighters. The department operates from two stations and cover approximately 90 square miles, including the City of Trumann and surrounding Poinsett County areas. The second fire station houses reserve equipment. Trumann Fire Department has Mutual-Aid Agreements with surrounding fire departments.

Trumann Fire Department conducts pre-fire planning inspections of each commercial, industrial, institutional, and habitational building (over 4-family apartments) at least twice per year.
Chief Revis Kemper was hired as the Trumann Fire Department Chief in 2015. Chief Kemper graduated from Trumann High School and has an Associate Degree in general studies. He is a Certified Fire Marshall through the State of Arkansas and a member of the International Associated of Arson Investigators. He is also a Certified Fire Inspector and an Adjunct Instructor for the Arkansas Fire Training Academy.
